Needle and thread

My view, most days, while hand-stitching the lining to the front panel, was the rain-dampened back deck. One of these days I'll get around to making some kind of covering for the french doors in this room. It is a nice view, though. www.lovelihood.com

Tacking

A herringbone stitch around the perimeter of the shade, just to keep the edge folded down. I suppose I wouldn't actually have minded if there were exposed stitching on the facing. It's just that this is how the Book laid out all the steps. And for a first-time roman shader, by-the-book seemed the way to go. www.lovelihood.com
